KCI South Terminal Advance Planning Study

Kansas City, Missouri

Vireo’s study for KCI is unique in its combination of airport master planning, noise compatibility planning and area-wide land use master planning in a single, coordinated effort. The challenge was to develop land use and development plans that consider a new single terminal at the airport while balancing the airport’s environmental impacts and the demand for economic development in the area. The process centered around proactive and continuous community involvement effort, soliciting input from area residents and the business community alike.
