When St. Charles County officials wanted to dream big for Youth Activity Park, Vireo was hired to help them entirely re-envision the destination, starting with rebranding the property to Kinetic Park.
Vireo worked with the client to develop an ambitious master plan and phasing plan then led the team to bring the vision to life in three phases.
Phase 1 re-designed the parking lot and re-envisioned the visitors’ approach to and experience of the park.
Phase 2, completed in 2025, centers around a 40,000 SF inclusive adventure playground that prioritizes greenspace over hard surfaces, a new arrival plaza, new picnic plazas, and several other amenities.
Phase 3 is currently under construction and includes a water play area, 8 pickleball courts and a new asphalt loop trail.
The end result is a remarkable destination like nothing else in the region that has proven to have fantastic local, regional, and national appeal.
