Wyandotte County Parks Master Plan

Vireo’s team led the effort to inventory, assess, and analyze the County’s park system. The overarching purpose was to balance the community’s needs with potential resources to realistically achieve equitable improvements over the next 5-10 years. An extensive part of the master plan process included discussions and surveys with citizens, officials, stakeholders, and neighborhoods. Vireo utilized a combination of traditional and modern practices, such as social media, to effectively engage this demographically diverse community. Vireo’s cutting edge technology also allowed for an efficient inventory of over 500 amenities in 54 parks.
