Why do you do what you do?
I do what I do because I believe landscape architecture is a more important profession than most people think. I don’t do this simply because we design pretty landscapes, but because we have the power to heal the environment, bring people together, and ignite a sense of awe and wonder all at the same time through our work.
What is your personal professional philosophy?
I aim to do at least one productive thing and learn one new thing per day.
I am very particular about ice cream. I used to run a family-owned, homemade ice cream shop making a variety of ice cream types, such as rolled ice cream, Bolis (ice cream in a bag), and ready-to-eat ice cream cups. I started doing this with my parents when I was just 11 years old and continued to do it until I left my hometown at the age of 20. I’d like to consider myself an ice cream connoisseur.
What’s the most surprising thing about you?
If you could time travel and see any live performance at any venue, any artist, any year…
Illenium at Empower Field at Mile High on August 20, 2022… I am very upset that I missed this.
