The newest Margaritaville Hotel is a tropical resort and sandy beach in the heart of the Midwest. Vireo worked closely with the owners, architects, and a large project team to create an attractive hotel approach, a boardwalk entry to the LandShark Bar&Grill, and a beachfront destination around the outdoor pool.
The pool deck and outdoor bar are designed around themes of the ocean with scalloped plant beds mimicking waves, custom acrylic shark inlays set into the concrete, and the fin-shaped bar echoing the LandShark branding. Custom-designed raised planters were also fabricated as an essential part of the connections between the hotel’s private patios and the pool deck.
The design separates the pool features to encourage family play (zero entry and slides) on one side and adult lounging with a swim-up bar on the other. Beyond the edges of the pool are small performing areas and private cabanas.
