Norterre - Multi-use & Senior Living
Vireo is the site planner and landscape architect on this $66 million dollar, master-planned community. It is the first of its kind in the country, consisting of residential homes for all stages of life, including young families, active adults and seniors. The first phase of the project includes a healthy living center, café, households for seniors and short-term rehabilitation suites. The Town Square is a focal point, with multi-use, outdoor gathering space, shaded seating, and a splash pad.
Vireo offered insight on how to design with the topography and avoid massive cut and fill grading. This resulted in a more ecologically sustainable design with substantially less infrastructure costs.
