Blue River Trail

Kansas City, Missouri

The culmination of over a decade of planning efforts, Blue River Trail will ultimately stretch 8 miles along the Blue River corridor between Swope Park and Corrington Park. Blue River Trail will serve as a critical transportation and recreational resource through an historically underserved area of Kansas City.

With connections to the Brush Creek Blue River Confluence Trail and the existing on-street system on Leeds Trafficway, Blue River Trail is doing its part to further Kansas City’s vision for a vibrant, inter-connected trail system throughout the City.

The first 2 ½-mile segment between Swope Park and Colorado Avenue was completed in early 2017 and construction of the next 2 miles will be underway later this year.
